Built for real problem solving.

b3LAB is Benjamin Mauz — creative technologist, editor, live-vision mixer, occasional camera guy, digital arts lover, and 8 bytes of nerdity.

About the tools: it started as a side-hobby alongside my main work. I wanted to optimize my own workflow and work less — but the things I needed either didn't exist, or existed badly. PortalOFX+ started because I wanted live Syphon/NDI input and output in Resolve — for direct local and network screening, and to work with Resolve in ways that just weren't possible before. So I started writing my own Python tools, got confident with it, and thought I could do more — which I've since rebuilt as proper native macOS apps. And now I'm convinced they should reach the world — for a good meal and a few beers.

Built by someone who'd rather make the tool right than make it big.

The focus is narrow by design. b3LAB tools do one job reliably. No feature explosion. No universal compatibility promises. No roadmaps that turn into vaporware. Just focused, honest utilities for people who know exactly why they need them.

I work at the intersection of realtime graphics, post-production, and creative infrastructure — through OFX plugins, native macOS apps, Python utilities, and the occasional GLSL shader when nothing else fits.
